Russell Westbrook postgame interview after 57-point triple-double with OKC

MVP CHANTS ON THE ROAD:

“Russ, you get the MVP chants on the road, 57-point triple-double,” Nick Gallo said as his 2017 postgame interview with Russell Westbrook began following an Oklahoma City Thunder 114-106 win over the Orlando Magic.

“How did this feel for you as you led this team to this amazing comeback?”

“It was great man,” Westbrook replied. “Like I said, it’s always great to win on the road. All thanks to the man above. So thankful to be able to play the game I love, and just happy we got the win.”

“This was the biggest comeback in Oklahoma City franchise history.

“What did it take, particularly on the defensive end, for you all to do this down the stretch?” Gallo asked after Westbrook rallied his team from a deficit of 21 points in the 3rd quarter.

“Grit man. We needed everything. We got some stops when we needed to stops. Made some big shots down the stretch. It was a huge win for us.”

“Russ, you guys clinched the playoffs tonight. What is the mentality you all need to have heading into this final stretch before it all happens?”

“Constantly keep getting better. Take one game at a time.

“We started off a little sluggish tonight. That’s a good team, especially at home. But I thought we did a good job of making steps forward and we getting out with the win.”
